Gade Dog Training Society is a Kennel Club registered, non-profit organisation, fully insured for public liability. Our trainers and committee are all volunteers, with varying qualifications in dog obedience training and behaviour from BIPDT, IMDT, PDTI, etc., with more than 100 combined years experience training dogs and owners, we are continually looking to learn more and improve. Between us we have a wealth of knowledge in dealing with various behaviours and we know with dogs, one size does not fit all! We do not preach, but offer sound advice and if something doesn’t work, then we have many more tips and useful advice to help you with.
All dogs are welcomed, of any age and breed. Our training methods are based on reward, play and lots of fun. We do not apply harsh training methods.

What we offer
Beginners Classes
A block of 9 weeks of 30 minute classes for dogs and puppies of any age. It’s never too late.
First week is an intake is without dogs, just owners to get prepared. Then 8 weeks group practical training of skills such as heel work, waits, stays, recall, retrieve, etc., as well as manners and behavioural troubleshooting.
Advancing Skills
Following on from beginners class, trainers will invite you to graduate to more challenging training skill sets as you become ready. This is not a block booking but a pay as you go system. Classes include Improvers, Intermediates and Advanced
Obedience Competition
Local obedience clubs host friendly competitions applying the obedience skills you have learned. Categories range from Novice, Pre-Beginner and Beginners
Kennel Club Good Citizen Dog Training Scheme
Gain awards in dog training, assessed and issued by the Kennel Club, in association with Gade Dog Training Society. You can gain Good Citizen Dog Training Scheme certification with us.
Prices and Booking
Beginners Classes cost £40 + £15 annual membership, so that’s £45 total for new starters in 2023
Advancing Skills sessions costs £4 as you go in 2023
Ask about booking into our competition and Good Citizen tests that are booked throughout the year
We have a new contactless pay system at club, you can also pay by cash or cheque
